Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault and robbery outside an off licence in New Cheltenham Road, Kingswood, South Gloucestershire on Monday, December 21.

At around 7.30pm a group of youths were throwing snowballs at each other and possibly at passing cars when a silver Audi TT drew up.

Most of the group of youths ran off. One 16-year-old left behind was punched in the face by the car driver. The car passenger then stole the boy’s bike and rode off on it in the direction of Church Road.

The first man threatened the boy again and then drove off.

He is described as black, around 5ft 7ins tall and of large build, aged about 30 with short Afro hair and wearing a grey jumper.

His passenger is also described as black, 6ft tall, skinny, with short dreadlocks. He was wearing a Russian-style hat and a dark blue puffa coat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Staple Hill CID on 0856 456 7000. Or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
