Appeal for information after robbery (Kingswood)

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in Somerfield Car Park, Halls Road, Kingswood.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 10th February 2010 between 2 and 2.15pm.

The victim was sat in her car (a blue Volkswagen Polo) when a man ran up, opened the passenger door and grabbed her handbag. The victim grappled with him, the straps came off and he escaped with her bag that was later found dumped in a garden in Derek Road Kingswood.

The man had previously been seen by the victim leaning against a wall in the car park near to the recycling bins in Somerfield’s car park.

He is decsribed as a white man aged between 20 and 30-years-old, tall and of slim build. He was wearing a mid brown duffle coat with a hood.
