Appeal for witnesses following assault (Yate)

Police in South Gloucestershire are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Yate in the early hours of Saturday morning.

At around half past midnight on Saturday morning (February 27) the victim was at the kebab van on the Badminton Trading Estate, just off Badminton Road, when he was approached by a group of males.

It’s alleged that the victim, a 24-year-old man, was then assaulted by the group. He sustained facial injuries in the incident.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. They are particularly keen to speak to a woman, who its thought may have intervened in the attack.

Three men, two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old, have been arrested in connection with this incident.
