Appeal for witnesses after assault (Kingswood)

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was assaulted in Kingswood.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 2nd March 2010 at around 10.15am.

The victim, a 44-year-old man, was stood at a bus stop in Anchor Road, Kingswood when the offender cycled passed.

There appears to have been a minor verbal altercation between the pair. The offender cycled away a short distance before removing the saddle from his bike and returning to the bus stop. The offender struck the victim with the saddle which caused the victim to fall to the floor. The victim broke his ankle in the fall which has required corrective surgery to repair.

The offender is described as a white male, 17-20 years old, slim to medium build with short spiky mousey blonde hair. He had a white t-shirt and red tracksuit bottoms on. He cycled off into Syston Close and on to the cycle track at that location.
