Police seek witnesses following assault (Kingswood)

Police are seeking witnesses to a disturbance in the Kingswood area which resulted in two people being assaulted.

The incident happened at about 12.30am on Saturday February 27 in Regent Street near to the Diamond Kebab shop.

A disagreement happened in the shop and shortly afterwards when the two male victims were walking towards Bank Road, when they were reportedly assaulted for no apparent reason.

One of the victims suffered a blow to the face which required stitches.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Bank Road and Cecil Road areas at the time of the incident who may have information to help their enquiries.

Police have arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
