Police warn motorists to be vigilant following series of car thefts

Police in South Gloucestershire are warning drivers to be vigilant following a number of thefts of vehicles in the area.

Police have received a number of reports of stolen vehicles, in which thieves are particularly targeting Vauxhall Brava cars. Since January police have received reports of 10 Vauxhall Bravas being stolen in South Gloucestershire, including, in particular three in the last two weeks.

The latest instances have occurred over the last week in the Kingswood, Yate and Patchway areas of the district.

Unknown offenders are believed to have stolen a Vauxhall Brava from Orchard Road in Kingswood at some time between 7pm on Tuesday, March 16 and 7am on Wednesday, March 17.

At some time between midnight and 7am on Monday, March 15 unknown offenders have stolen a vehicle from Celestine Road, Yate. Police have also received reports of a car stolen from Coniston Road, Patchway between 6.30pm on Tuesday, March 9 and 9am on Wednesday, March 10.
