Police close M5 J16 northbound sliproad after serious collision (Almondsbury)
Posted on Wednesday 5th May 2010 at 1:41 pm by SH (Editor)Police have closed the sliproad at junction 16 of the M5 (Northbound) after a serious road traffic collision.
Officers were called to the scene at 1.18pm today after a two vehicle collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries and has been taken to Frenchay Hospital.
Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
The road will re-open as soon as possible.

Police say they have now re-opened the motorway after a serious road traffic collision at junction 16 of the M5 (Northbound) earlier this afternoon.
The motorcyclist remains in hospital in a serious condition.
