Police are asking for help tracing two men after an assault in Staple Hill.

It’s believed they were involved in an attack on another man in Upper Station Road, a lane at the rear of the Royal Oak pub. The 36-year-old victim needed hospital treatment for a cut to his head.

One is described as aged about 19-20 years, of Mediterranean appearance, with thick dark hair. He was wearing a blue coat.

The second is around 5ft 7ins tall, of chubby build, with short mousey hair. He was wearing a brown hooded top.

They were part of a group of five that also included females. One of the group was walking a dog similar to a Stafforshire terrier.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Staple Hill police on 0845 456 7000, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
