Kingswood and Patchway locality hubs open

Two new purpose built centres that bring together health and council services for children and young people opened on Monday (5th September) in Kingswood and Patchway.

The Hubs, in Alma Road, Kingswood, and Rodway Road, Patchway, will bring essential services to the heart of these communities. Parents and carers of children of all ages can receive advice, support and a range of services under one roof.

The services delivered from the new Hubs are primarily those currently provided by both the council and NHS health providers, in particular North Bristol NHS Trust.

The Hubs will provide a central base for the range of professionals who work with children and young people.

Services are for children and young people from 0-19 and their families (for very vulnerable young people, some services will be available up to age 24 years). They will create a more localised approach to the way services for children and young people, their families and communities are delivered providing a local gateway to information, advice and services which meet the needs of individuals and families in the community.

The Patchway Hub also provides a council one stop shop and library services for residents.

The buildings are green too, with a range of energy saving measures including solar panels and automatic lighting which helps to reduce our carbon footprint even further.
