Appeal following robbery (Staple Hill)

Police are appealing for information after an 18-year-old man was the victim of a robbery in Staple Hill on Saturday night (14th August).

The victim got off the number 49 bus at South View in Staple Hill at around 11.15pm.  Two men, aged between 17 and 19-years-old, then followed him before pushing him to the ground, assaulting him and stealing his wallet.

The suspects then ran off into Page Park, Staple Hill.

They are both described as white, medium build, and around 6 feet tall.  One had short fair hair, the other had dark blonde hair.  They were both wearing light-coloured hooded tops and dark jeans.

The victim was not seriously injured in the incident.

Police appeal for information following armed robbery (Filton)

Police in South Gloucestershire are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a betting shop in Filton.

At around 6.30pm on Tuesday, April 20 an unknown offender has entered a betting shop on Filton Avenue and threatened a staff member, with what was believed to be a knife, and ordered him to hand over cash. It’s believed the offender then left the scene on a bicycle.

He was described as a black male of around 5ft 7ins to 5ft 9ins of thin to medium build. He was wearing a red hooded raincoat, a white facemask and blue jeans.

Appeal for information following robbery (Kingswood)

Police in South Gloucestershire are appealing for information following a robbery in Kingswood on Sunday, April 4.

At around 11:15pm the victim was cycling home along Soundwell Road, Kingswood when he was approached by a group of men, commenting on his mountain bike. Its then alleged that one of the group threatened the victim to hand over his bike.

The bike is described as a Cream Specialised P1 custom built mountain bike with distinctive wheels.

The main offender is described as a black man, aged 17-18 years old, of around 5ft 11ins tall and of a medium build. He was wearing black jogging bottoms, a black hooded jacket and a black beanie hat.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who may have information to help police with their enquiries, is asked to contact officers in South Gloucestershire on 0845 456 7000. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Appeal for information following robbery (Almondsbury)

Police are appealing for information in relation to a robbery in Almondsbury on Saturday, March 20.

At around 4pm on Saturday afternoon the victim, a 19 year-old woman, had travelled to Almondsbury with her mother and boyfriend to meet the vendors of a car advertised for sale on the internet.

When she arrived at the arranged meeting point – the junction of Over Lane with the lane heading towards Ibstock Brick Works – the offenders threatened the victim and demanded she hand over the cash she had brought with her to buy the car. They then drove away in the direction of the A38.

Appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery (Mangotsfield)

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Mangotsfield on Sunday (March 21)

At around 1.00am a man was walking along Rodway common when a man approached him with a weapon and demanded money and his mobile phone.

The offender ran off after a scuffle and the victim was left unhurt and no property was stolen.

Police would now like to speak to a man who is described as white, around 19 years old, of a thin build and around 5ft 8inches tall. He was dressed in a black hooded style top with a red and white checked scarf covering his face and black woollen gloves, as he may be able to help with enquiries

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw a man acting suspiciously or witnessed this incident.
