Suspected drug dealer arrested in Thornbury

Thornbury police arrested a man in the early hours of Sunday 25th July 2010 after finding a quantity of suspected drugs in his car.

As part of ‘Operation Relentless: keeping you safe this summer’, patrolling officers stopped and checked the car in Gillingstool just after midnight and found a quantity of white powder.

A 35-year-old man from Gloucester arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug has been released on conditional police bail pending the results of forensic tests.

Neighbourhood PC Neil Whyman said: “We are committed to tackling drug dealing and the associated crime that can impact on our communities. We rely on information from the public to help us keep the Thornbury area safe from drug crime.
